People standing in front of a sign that says 'The Visitor Economy'

This project is about bringing the VENI concept to Kings Lynn and West Norfolk. It is all about developing skills for the visitor economy and creating the capacity for stakeholders (educators, businesses and students) to work together to expand the skills horizon in Kings Lynn and West Norfolk.

Our focus will be on spearheading tried and tested initiatives that support growth in the visitor economy. Working with the College of West Anglia we will develop an exciting programme of interventions that inspire and support people to become a part of this diverse group of sectors.

VENI in Kings Lynn and West Norfolk focuses on “pride of place” bringing alive the visitor economy through events, community campaigns, and innovative networking. It’s about inspiring and enlivening places across Kings Lynn and West Norfolk through an exciting VENI events programme.

VENI will provide a range of community connections and networking opportunities – bringing people together from diverse backgrounds from across Kings Lynn and West Norfolk. It will provide an opportunity for work experience and skills development. These events will provide a market place for the visitor economy – making visible the services, careers and breadth of jobs available, and inspiring people to explore the sector further.

We will publicise local case studies, share best practice, and celebrate local business and community successes.

Browse this VENI website to explore what we’ve done already and to see the kinds of opportunities available.
